About Us

Our Story

Traumatic brain injury is the number one injury of members and veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces, including our Special Operations Forces who are committing suicide at an alarming rate. The Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center reported between Q1 2000 and Q3 2023 that over 492,000 veterans and active duty have been diagnosed with traumatic brain injury (TBI) whether it be from an accident, explosion (blast injury), repeated exposure to gunfire or a fall. The risk of suicide increases with just one mild traumatic brain injury (which includes concussions). The risk is even greater in those who have had more than one mTBI, which is the case with many of our Special Operations Forces (SOF). It is unacceptable to stand idle and listen to the same horrific stories from those who serve our country and our communities. It is unacceptable to watch those individuals and their families suffer because of service related injuries that have not been properly treated.

Since 2014, Heal the Warriors has been providing access to much needed services that our warriors, first responders and their families deserve yet cannot readily access otherwise. Thousands of lives have been changed and still the need is great. PleaseĀ click here to donate to Heal the Warriors today.
